Targeted skincare for rosacea-prone skin can look like this too.
When I'm looking for skincare for rosacea-prone skin, I'm already looking for precise targeting. Just one cream labeled AR is no longer enough for me. Simply, our skin doesn't just solve one problem. It has the same issues as healthy skin plus additional inflammatory manifestations. That's why it's important to set up a skincare routine sophisticatedly. And the Ordinary brand offers such a routine and at reasonable price points. However, it should be noted that such a skincare routine doesn't replace treatment from a dermatologist - such a routine only complements the treatment set by your doctor and it's good to mention to your dermatologist that you have such products in your routine. They can complement the set treatment excellently.
The biggest favorite from this brand for me became the cleansing milk Squalane cleanser - very gentle and mild to the skin. My daughter with atopic eczema even liked it. And not many products that work for me work for her. This one we have in common. They also have larger packaging. But to start, I would try the smaller size in your place.
I was curious about azelaic acid in 10% concentration - I find this concentration sufficient. Higher concentrations in other products didn't have such good effects. Many of us use a treatment with AA at 20% concentration and that's quite strong and quite drying, so I only applied it locally. This product from Ordinary I could comfortably spread all over my face and it nicely reduced redness. However, you need to think about hydration before and after. So before application a hydrating toner and after application a cream. With the discount we rosacea sufferers also have on the Natureal eshop, it comes out at a really favorable price.
Hyaluronic acid with Vitamin B5 from Ordinary pleasantly surprised me. The serum is pleasant and nicely hydrates the skin. I used it in my evening routine. I usually use any serum in my routine separately - only one in the routine - whether it's azelaic acid, hyaluronic acid or niacinamide. So I alternated these serums. This way it's a safe path for rosacea-prone skin, because a minimalist routine is appropriate for us. Even though it might seem like a good idea to you for a while to use multiple serums in a row - after a few days it drove my skin crazy.
As the last one, I really liked serum with niacinamide and zinc from this brand. For me mainly for the T-zone because I care for it differently than my cheeks with rosacea. It really nicely tightened my pores and smoothed my skin.
I believe this review can bring you an affordable targeted care for your skin. I'll be happy if you write to me how you liked it.
