EGF - Epidermal Growth Factor

EGF or epidermal growth factor came to the cosmetic market through medicine. Scientists received the Nobel Prize for this breakthrough. It's no wonder that the keen eye of the cosmetic industry didn't take long to become interested in EGF.

What exactly is EGF?

A polypeptide (or molecular chain of amino acids) that was developed to accelerate wound healing. It is a repair substance that signals cells to increase the production of collagen and elastin. EGF stimulates skin growth at the cellular level and at the same time stimulates (and significantly accelerates) the growth of new skin cells.

It protects the skin by enabling faster and deeper moisture absorption, making the skin smoother and more delicate. The vegan form of EGF also inhibits melanin production, so it improves acne scars and other forms of hyperpigmentation. EGF reminds us of retinol with its versatility, but with a huge advantage. That is, EGF is very well tolerated even by sensitive skin. If for any reason you don't use retinol, EGF is a hot candidate for its replacement!
